Fernando Menis presents Toruń’s long-awaited Multifunctional Concert Hall “Jordanki” in the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw

Internationally Acclaimed Architectural Firm “Menis Arquitectos” is introducing Toruń’s newest point of interest.

The cultural event to share the recognition of Toruń’s notable landmark will take place on February 19th at 18.00h.

The Multifunctional Concert Hall “Jordanki” in Toruń, whose inauguration ceremony will take place at the end of 2015, was recently featured as one of the 25 most influential architectural buildings in Poland at the MMA held exhibition to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the monthly “Architektury Murator” magazine.   The building is a perfect response to Toruń’s combination of old and new architecture. “This is reflected by the materials used in its implementation” said its own architect, Fernando Menis. “The play of red brick and white concrete emphasizes this dichotomy between heritage and modernity in this cultural center.”   The event will be personally hosted by Menis this time. The reinforced concrete vermilion and white structure, which helped the two times World Architecture Festival winner obtain the Future Cultural Project prize at the same event in 2010, will be explained at lenght next Thursday February 19th at 18.00h in the Polish Capital. The audience will be introduced first hand to this modern yet traditional cultural building, perfectly integrated in Toruń’s well preserved, historic city center – a UNESCO world heritage site.     Jordanki-Summer_WEB
